About Us

We Are Women is a national initiative empowering Black, Indigenous LGBTQ2S+ and Women of Color to become successful entrepreneurs in Canada's billion-dollar food and beverage industry, primarily through one-on-one mentorships and micro grants.

We officially launched on International Women's Day, March 8th 2021 and celebrated with the We Are Women Box: a box filled with 15 different food and beverage products made by Black, Indigenous LGBTQ2S+ and Women of Color entrepreneurs from coast-to-coast!

We Are Women was created by Marissa Bronfman, a serial entrepreneur and women's advocate who has created businesses and initiatives across Canada and India. Marissa advises numerous food and foodtech founders, and impact investors, from Canada, the US and around the world.
